Mrs. H. Hallet, who suffered a second paralytic stroke Friday afternoon, passed away yesterday morning at 12:30 o’clock surrounded by her sorrowing husband and children.
From the time she became ill Friday, there was no hope of her recovery and her children were summoned home. Miss Lottie arrived from Wheatland at 4 o’clock Saturday morning, and Miss Hallie arrived from Butte City at 2 a.m. Their mother was then unconscious and did not regain consciousness.
Mrs. Maggie B. Hallet was a native of Dundas, Canada, where she was born August 9, 1845. In 1872 she came from Canada to California, and in 1875 was married to Henry Hallet. Resultant of this union, there are two children, Miss Hallie and Lottie, both of whom are graduates of the Chico Normal School and have been teaching since graduation.
About three years ago Mrs. Hallet suffered a stroke of paralysis which then promised to end her life, but she gradually rallied until she was able to walk quite readily.
Deceased was one who entertained noble ideas, a thoughtful, loving mother and wife, whose influence was exerted for purity of life and good will toward all.

Strachn, Toronto, Canada; Mrs. Hugh Steveson, St. Paul, Minn..; Mrs. Annie Spears, Alexander, Manitoba; Mrs. James Kennedy, Oroville, Ca.; Mrs. William Mundale, San Rafael, Cal.; Mrs. Georgia Ostrander, Palo Alto, Cal.; John Bain, Toronto, Canada; William Bain, Carson, Nev.
The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the family residence.
