Edmond F. Thatcher, who was born August 23, 1856, died March 23, 1923. His entire life of more than 66 years was spent on the farm owned by his parents on Old Mohawk Street in the town of Linn.
He was married to Susan B. Tappen, Meredith, Kansas, June 23, 1886, by Rev. Mr. Bushnell.
He became a member of the Linn-Hebron Presbyterian church, with his wife and sons, and fullfilled the duties of the offices conferred upon him by the church and community in a quiet and efficient manner. For three years his health has been failing and he was obligated to give up one activity after another.
A stroke of paralysis occurred a week before his death.
He is survived by his wife, and five sons, Louis, who with his wife, and two children live at Barrington, Ill.; Harry and Glenn, who are manageing the farm; Charles of the Wisconsin University; and George, one sister, Mrs. H. C. Buell, two brothers, Frederick of Gilman, Wis., and Alfred, Warren, Ind.
Funeral services were held Monday from the home in Linn, Rev. Mr. Lothian, a former pastor in Linn, officiating, with interment in the Linn-Hebron cemetery. Lake Geneva Regional News 29 March 1923
